Thanksgiving Turkey Cake topper

I have to start out by saying that this cake was so fun to make. I was given complete creative freedom with only 1 request, create a festive Thanksgiving scene on the cake.
So here it is :)

So I decided a turkey would be fitting for a Thanksgiving cake. To make it fun and playful I made this turkey a Pilgrim. Then to fill in a scene around him. I made a few mini pumpkins and lots of fall leaves. And this turkey needed a sign to wish the future cake eaters a "Happy Turkey Day!"

Then I decided to create a wooden barrel full of apples. I really love how it turned out and think this is one of my favorite elements on this cake.
Now I must not forget to mention that not only did this cake look fabulous but it also was one of my favorite fall flavors. A moist delicious carrot cake with a brown sugar/cinnamon cream cheese filling and pecans..Oh yeah the good stuff!

Thank you for checking out my ~sweet~creation!
